Helmet a (Zischägge) also known as Turkish style.
It will be constructed out of 14ga. 304 Stainless steel,

-6 Mar. 2006-
Cutting the 14ga. Stainless steel with the plasma cutter.
Each plate is 4 x 10 feet and the weight is 127lb. That is why one has to cut these plates, they are a pain to move around the shop.
-11 Mar. 2006-
This is a new drawing for the helmet.
The back and side guards are solid. The face guard is also 14ga. Stainless.
-30 Mar. 2006-
This is a pattern for the helmet. This is before and after the cut.
-4 Apr. 2006-
This the right side of the helmet after working them on the Englishwheel.
The aim is to get about 3.5 to 4 inches per side. It is a lot of work, keep in mind this is 14 ga. 304 Stainless Steel. It does not like to be worked in this fasion.
-12 May 2006-
These are both side of the helmet after working it on the Englishwheel.
The sides need about another 2 iches each for a good fit.
-23 May 2006-
This is the helmet after the TIG welding.
Now the fine tunning is next then the clean-up.
-25 May 2006-
This is the helmet after a basic clean-up.
Fine tunning the shape.
-12 June 2006-
This is the helmet after TIG welding the upper visor on.
This is the loop which will hold the tear of Allah.
A decore' bold will hold the tear, it is a 1/4" size.
The welding is very deep, and will take some time to clean. A inside shoot of the helmet at this time.

The cleaning of the welds will take some time,
but the fusion is all the way through.
-13 June 2006-
This is the helmet after some cleaning with the pattern for the brass band.

-15 June 2006-
These are the holes to hold the steel band inide the helmet.
The steel band will support the leather liner in the helmet.
These are the rivet after I micro TIG welded them to the skull. The brass band will cover all the TIG welding. This is the band inside the helmet.
-17 June 2006-
The basic pattern for the face-guard.

I plan to place this into the center of the tear of Allah. . .
